愛上英文了嗎？
法文也許是公認的愛情的語言，但是英語也有多種表達浪漫方式的語句。當你和女朋友或男朋友談話時，可以使用以下這些實用的片語。
1. Love makes the world go round. 有些人認為錢是萬能的，但是對於一些追求真正的羅曼蒂克的人，愛是生命中最重要的。

2. Your better half. 這是指你的女朋友或男朋友。你也可以稱呼你的伴侶為 'my other half' - 但是稱呼你的女朋友或男朋友為 your better half比our other half更為恰當！
3. The light of my life. The light of your life 是指某人讓你很開心，而且讓你感覺很好！你也可以對你的愛人說， "Darling, you light up my life".
4. She drives me crazy! 這不是指她讓你變得神經質！ 如果某人drives you crazy，即是指他們會使你的心跳加速。 例如："You're crazy about Amy, why don’t you ask her out?"
5. Falling in love. 愛上某人比談戀愛還要更深一層。談戀愛會令人很愉快的，但是愛上某人就表示，假如沒有對方的話，你就無法活下去！請記住不要太快告訴你的女朋友/男朋友"I'm falling in love with you"。最好是等到你真的發覺了再說。
6. Perfect match. 你是否已經找到了你的完美配對？你的perfect match 是指這個人跟你在各方面都很相配。但是，另一句俚語'soul mate'也有相同的意思。
7. Seeing, Dating, Going steady.當你開始和某人出去，你可能不是很認真的。你可以說'I'm seeing someone' 。但過了一陣子後，你開始和他們dating。 最後，你和他們go steady。意思是正式成為男女朋友。
8. You are too good to be true! 當你覺得某人簡直是驚為天人，簡直不敢相信的時候，你就可以引用這個句子。你同時也可以說you are like a dream come true.
9. Significant Other. 這是現今的說法，以第三者的身分來泛指你的伴侶或愛人。你也可以說Can I bring my Significant Other to the party?， 但不是 Honey, you are my Significant Other。
10. Love at first sight.是指兩個人在等一次見面的時候，就閃電地愛上對方。假如你相信一見鐘情的話，那你就是一個真正浪漫的人！

My friend and I are going to visit New York at the same time but we are staying at different hotels. I am supposed to call her hotel when I arrive, but I not sure what to say. When I call, is it better to say "Is Yoko Takahashi there" (my friend name) or "I want to speak to room 525?" Mayu, Tokyo, Japan A:Dear Mayu, If you know your friends room number, then it's best to say "Can you connect me to room #525, please?" You don't want to scare her away, so make sure that you don't show all of you feelings until you know she feels the same way about you. Why don't you start by asking her to a low-commitment activity such as getting a cup of coffee or a drink? The next time you see her, try saying something like "Would you like to grab a cup of coffee" or "How about a drink tonight?"
